8020.school ("8020.school," "we," "us," or "our") publishes educational content and a community newsletter about the 80/20 learning paradigm. This page describes, in general terms, how we handle information when you interact with our site and newsletter, and the terms under which you may use them. It is provided for informational purposes and is intended as a general template — not legal advice — and should be reviewed by counsel before being relied on for a live product.

Privacy Policy

Information we collect. We collect information you choose to give us directly — for example, your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter. We do not currently require an account to read the site, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.

Newsletter & third-party services. Our newsletter is hosted on Substack. When you subscribe, your email address is collected and processed by Substack on our behalf, subject to Substack's own privacy policy. We only use your email to send the newsletter and related updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Cookies & analytics. The site itself does not set its own tracking cookies. If we later add analytics, we will update this policy to describe what is collected and how to opt out.

Data retention & your rights. We keep subscriber information for as long as your subscription is active. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or unsubscribe entirely, by contacting us at the email address below.

Children's privacy. Our content is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Terms of Use

Educational content, not professional advice. Content published on this site and in the newsletter reflects our own teaching experience and perspective on learning. It is offered for general educational purposes and does not constitute professional, academic, or certified instructional advice for any specific domain.

Intellectual property. Unless otherwise noted, the text, graphics, and logo on this site belong to 8020.school. You're welcome to quote and link to our work with attribution; please don't republish it wholesale without asking first.

No warranty & limitation of liability. The site and newsletter are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, 8020.school is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the content.

Changes to these terms. We may update this Privacy Policy and these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
